Laut Eigenaussage die erste Konferenz in Europa zum Thema Mobile Web 2.0.
Going along with the initial presentation of sun’s new JavaFX plattform at the javaone last week, there was also an intresting keynote on mobile Java future with the CTO of Motorola Padmasree Warrior, Ajit and Enrique. Most outstanding discusion point were:
1) The ad model favours the Mobile Web
2) Java(for that matter any platform ) is good for consumption but not for creation
3) When we say ‚Web‘ I also include ‚Mobile Widgets‘
4) Specifically with Java, there is the issue of discovery and distribution

Ajit ist ja sowas wie das Aushängeschild der mobile2.0 Bewegung und ist regelmäßiger Vortragender auf diversen Fachkonferenzen. Aktuell bringt er auf seinem Blog 2 Beiträge von der IMS 2.0 Veranstaltung, die in Monaco statt gefunden hat:

2) How should Operators integrate third parties into their network
Diskusion zum Theme Kompetenzverteilung für Mobile Web Anwendungen und die Öffnung der Netze für Drittanbieter. Auch zum Theme mobile Widgets und mobile ajax, die genau diese Prinzipien vertreten, wurde fachgesimpelt. Bemerkenswert dass die Diskusionspartner nicht Nokia oder sonstige Angehöriger von Majors waren, sondern von „unseren“ verhältnismäßig unbedeutenden mobilkom austria kamen (einer davon).
Von 14 bis 15 März findet in München die Mobile TV World Summit statt. Die Agenda der Zwei-Tägigen Konferenz sieht höchst interessant aus und berücksichtigt unter Anderem auch die Trend-Themen UGC, mobile Werbeformen, Interaktive TV und viele andere:
* Track 1: Business Models, Interactivity and User Generated Content
* Track 2: Content Rights, Formats, Packaging and Production Values
* Track 3: Network, Infrastructure and Handsets
* Track 4: Advertising, Audience Measurement and Search & Discovery

Auf makeweb2mobile.org findet gerade ein von Nokia gesponsorter Ideenwettbewerb rund um das Thema mobile web2.0 statt. Es geht darum einen Businnes Plan zu entwickeln, der den Anforderungen der neuen mobilen Ökonomie gerecht wird. Zugelassen sind alle Unternehmen weltweit, allerdings ist die Deadline schon am 17. Dezember.
Hab gerade bei Ajit gelesen, dass er seinen ersten Kurs über das mobile web2.0 2007 nochmals abhalten wird. Das Datum steht noch nicht fest, aber ich hab mich mal in die mailing liste aboniert und werde hier bescheid geben, wenn ich genaueres weiß.
Ajit Jaokar, seines Zeichens Vordenker der mobile web2.0 Bewegung, veranstaltet im Rahmen seiner Tätigkeit an der Oxford Universität ein Kurs zum Thema „IMS und das Zusammenwirken von User generated Content“. Nach der ersten Session am 6. Dezember ist schon der 2te Kurs dieser Art. Ein genaues Datum ist noch nicht angesetzt, aber ich vermute, dass es irgendwann im Jänner statt finden wird. Die genauen, behandelnden Thematiken sind:

I expect in 2007 we will see a flurry of announcements focused on AJAX, or AJAX-based web applications on mobile phones. But I think it may not be until 2008 that we see the market saturation of AJAX supported browsers high enough to give it much weight.
