Nokia hat gestern einige Details zur kommenden Strategie bei Mobile Computer bzw. Smartphones gezeigt. Man setzt auf Maemo, auch ein Linux basiertes System, als Plattform für seine Smartphones bzw. Internet Tablets. Das erste Gerät in dieser Reihe wird da N900 sein, dass ca. ab Oktober für rund 600€ verfügbar sein wird. Die Meamo Plattform bietet im Gegensatz der in letzter Zeit stark kritisierten S60 Plattform eine moderne Architektur und zeitgemäßes UI.

Das N900 als Gerät knüpft logisch an die Serie der Nokia Internet Tablets an – bewegt sich aber seitens der Ausstattung stark in Richtung Smartphone. Einige Highlights:
